We recommend:
Sarah: "In Bruges." A dark, funny and surprisingly sweet-natured flick about two hitmen hiding out in Europe's most boring city, Bruges, Belgium. Now playing at the Palm Theatre in San Luis Obispo -- but hurry, it'll end soon.
Pat: The Cubs. Yeah, yeah -- I know; It's the Cubs. But Hope springs eternal -- especially in spring training.
Pat: "One California Day." This is a nice new surf flick, from the guy who brought us "Single Fin Yellow." As the title suggests, it's all about California, with a nod to the history of surf culture in the Golden State. Nice images, good stories. One of the better new surf flicks I've seen in a while.
