Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd are heading to the Pozo Saloon.
The blues-rock powerhouse known for classic songs like “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Freebird” will visit the popular outdoor concert venue on July 15, said Pozo Saloon owner Rhonda Rodenberger, who announced the news at Friday’s Big & Rich concert.
Tickets go on sale April 21. According to Rodenberger, the price has yet to be determined but will likely be in the $50 to $60 range.
Lynryd Skynyrd comes to Pozo just three days after the band’s July 12 performance at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez. Tickets for that concert are currently on sale online for $75 to $145
The Pozo Saloon hosts reggae-rock favorites Slightly Stoopid later this month with special guest Barrington Levy & The Wild Bunch. Tickets for that April 29 show are $25.
Meanwhile, British reggae icons Steel Pulse and two other artists have been confirmed for a May music festival at the Pozo Saloon, Rodenberger said, tentatively called Pozopalooza.
Steel Pulse last visited the Central Coast in February with a gig at The Graduate in San Luis Obispo.

WHaaaa? Fifty bucks to see Skynyrd? And even more to see them at chumash.
They can't have more than 1 or 2 original members. And that song "Red, White and Blue" they put out recently was just AWFUL!!!
